Location, Parking & Maps

The Munger Conference will continue to be housed in the Wendell W. Wright Education Building (Education Building) on Indiana University’s Bloomington campus. Check-in and on-site registration will be located in the atrium in the Education Building. There will be several presentation rooms in the Education Building, with additional rooms located in the nearby Neal Marshall Black Culture Center and Willkie Auditorium. Maps also will be available at the conference and staff members on hand to direct participants between the two buildings where presentations will be held.

Parking

When you register online you will be asked if you need a parking permit. A temporary ‘A’ permit will be mailed to your home address in advance of the conference in June. Please note that these permits will allow you to park in any ‘A’ parking spot during the conference.

There are two parking lots with ‘A’ parking close to the conference location, the Wright Education Building Parking lot and the Jordan Avenue parking garage (upper or lower levels). We prefer that you park in the Jordan Avenue Garage; you can park in the upper or lower level. If you park in the upper level you will need to take a ticket to get in. When you exit, please show your 'A' pass to the attendant and you will not be charged. If you need handicapped parking, please park in the School of Education lot and contact pmungerc@indiana.edu for a handicap parking pass.

If you did not pre-register or receive a parking pass in the mail, please park in the upper level of the Jordan Avenue Garage. We will give you a parking pass when you check in at the conference.

The 'A' permit is only valid when displayed and hanging from the rear view mirror with the letter and/or graphics showing through the front windshield. Placing the hang tag on the dash of your vehicle or laying it on your seat is not considered proper display.

Please note: ‘A’ and ‘C’ permits may not park in ‘D’ spaces, except D3 zones. Yellow curbs, fire drives and loading zones are not parking spaces. The vehicle may be ticketed and towed if it is left unattended in these areas.

If you want to load or unload from the yellow curb someone must stay with the car. It the vehicle is unoccupied you will be ticketed for parking in a fire drive. This is for the safety of everyone. Yellow curbs are areas reserved only for emergency vehicles. For more information: http://www.parking.indiana.edu/.
