Become a Presenter
Conference presenters include a variety of youth-serving professionals from across the state of Indiana and the nation. Presentations provide an interweaving of theoretical background with practical applications for the field.
In recent years, presentations have included topics such as eating disorders, confidentiality in school counseling, suicide risk factors for adolescents, interventions targeting bullying, financial aid, cognitive-behavioral treatment for anxiety, child abuse, IDEA 2004, and increasing student engagement.
Presentation Information
Presentations should be 60, 90, or 180 minutes long. The majority of the 180 minutes (1/2 day) sessions will be on Thursday, June 19, 2008 during the Advanced Workshops. These 1/2 day, advanced sessions are intended to take the material to a deeper level, allowing participants to leave with concrete skills and ideas they can apply to their work. If you need a 1/2 day session to cover your material, but it does not have "Advanced" content, then 1/2 day presentations will be scheduled during the regular conference (June 16-18).
If you are interested in presenting at this year’s Munger Conference (including the Advanced Workshops) please submit a proposal by March 17, 2008. You will be notified no later than March 31, 2008 regarding the status of your proposal. All presenters will need to send their handouts or PowerPoint presentations to the Conference Assistant by June 11, 2008 so they will be available for the participants on-line at the conference.
